David Waterman and Friends
David Waterman – ‘cello Mihai Ritivoiu – piano


David Waterman was a member of the much lauded and beloved Endellion Quartet from 1979 until 2021 and has performed chamber music with countless other musicians and ensembles including the Amadeus Quartet, Joshua Bell, Steven Isserlis and Stephen Kovacevic. 

Mihai Ritivoiu is a Romanian classical pianist living in London. Laureate of several international competitions, including the George Enescu Competition in Bucharest, Mihai Ritivoiu has performed throughout Europe and Japan with orchestras including the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra and the English Chamber Orchestra.

In February we brought you the  ‘Three Cellos, One Roof!’  We now bring you ‘The Cellophonics’.These four immensely talented ‘cellists all share a passion for the glorious sound of ‘cello ensemble and the astonishing range of tone, colour and pitch of this incredible instrument. From Tea for Two to Tosca, via the baroque and occasionally the surreal, there is something for most, be they music lovers in general or the more seriously afflicted cello-holic.

Two Members of the Fideleo Trio, Darragh Morgan and Mary Dullea will surprise you with a programme as fresh as it is inventive, ranging from Irish folk music, to the master of tango, Astor Piazzolla, through to Philip Glass, and ending with the glorious Cesar Franck Violin Sonata (Mvt II Allegro).
