Heat up the grill to 375 degrees and set it for indirect heat.
Grill for 45-60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees. Flip the wings half way through to ensure an even cook throughout.
Remove off the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes.
Maple Bourbon Sauce Instructions
In a saucepan, add maple syrup, bourbon of choice, brown sugar, maple bourbon rub, butter and dijon mustard. Whisk the ingredients together and simmer over low heat until the sauce thickens.
Toss the wings in the sauce and serve.
Notes
Cook chicken wings at a higher temperature to get a crispy skin. I like the range of 350-375 degrees. Simmer the sauce over low heat and just long enough to melt the butter and mix all the ingredients together.
